Abstract
Arminius Vambery, a Hungarian turkologist and traveler, was a prominent orientalist of the 19th century whose works hold considerable significance as a study of the history and culture of Central Asia. He displays a sympathetic understanding of the Muslims of Central Asia, while also reflecting some degree of religious bias. This article is an attempt to review those books of his, which have been translated into Urdu.
