Abstract
Mubeen Mirza elaborates his own view of Rashed’s portrayal of the modern man, who is not influenced by Western standards but is purely directed by Eastern values. His protagonist is the new man of the East clashing with his own past, in not just the material, but also the intellectual and spiritual context.
