Abstract
This article studies poems eulogizing the prominent Urdu short story writer Saadat Hasan Manto. Poems written for him or about him are deemed as thought provoking. Several of these poems were written on his death in which poets have not only expressed their sorrow on this loss but have also criticized the societal norms of the subcontinent that Manto himself highlights in his stories.
